The Ultor Robots are a set of characters featured in Red Faction.
Description
Ultor employs bots for mining and security. Both kinds are visible during the exploration of the complex. Heavier weapons like the Rocket Launcher work best against the larger bots, whilst the Shotgun and the Submachine Gun do well for dealing with the smaller ones
Drone
The large security Drone is found in the Docking bay of the Miner Registration part of the complex. This Robot is rather formidable, being quite large and firing rockets from his arm canon. He can also attack at melee range so be very careful when combatting the Drone.
Spike
The Spike bot is one of the smaller robots, seen in a couple of locations throughout the complex. The Spike bot fires a bright green energy bolt that can deal a lot of damage, and they can sometimes attack in small groups, making them harder to dodge.
Meca Turret
The Meca Turret is a robot that appears in a few locations throughout the complex. Unlike other robots, the Meca Turret comes in 2 variants. The first one fires normal bullet projectiles in a fully automatic fashion. The second one fires little laser projectiles with a short delay between firing.
Tank Bot
The Tank Bot is a very formidable security robot, found deep in the Maintenance sector of the complex. he has both Machine gun arms and a shoulder mounted rocket launcher. He can also swing at anyone that gets within melee range with his non-weapon arms.
The Tank Bot is the only Robot that cannot be beaten by normal conventions, instead, needing to be destroyed by forcing him into an Incinerator.
Cutter
The Cutter is a passive mining robot. The primary functionality is a cutting saw on the end of its arm that can dig into the rock walls of Mars. The only real exposure is in the Live Mines.
Grabber
The Grabber robot is a small passive robot. The primary functionality of the Grabber is to pick up and carry rocks around the mines - presumably to rock crushers or ore buckets.
Admin Bot
The Admin Bot is a very little robot that looks a little bit like a very tiny tank. It patrols the Administrative Offices.
