Red Faction (Group)
The Red Faction is a group of miners that the player is a part of when playing the games, Red Faction, Red Faction II and Red Faction: Guerrilla. The Red Faction, a workers’ union and freedom fighting guerrilla group was established by the working class of Mars under the oppression of the Ultor Corporation and previous ally, the Earth Defense Force.

The Red Faction came back to earth to liberate the people of the Commonwealth, they were suplied by the Earth Defense Force.
Red Faction: Guerrilla
EDF forces determined that the Red Faction had sabotaged mining efforts on Mars, and thus outlawed the group. Despite this, the EDF still remained paranoid of another rebellion and incarcerated and killed anyone whom they thought had an affiliation with the rebel group. This led to full-scale warfare on the planet.
