What do I need to use Alpine Faction?
- Alpine Faction requires an installed copy of Red Faction (PC). Any retail (disc) or digital (Steam, GoG, etc.) distribution will work, in any localization/language.
Are installation instructions available?
- Yes! Please see Alpine Faction Installation Guide
What do I enter when the installer asks for RF.exe?
- The path to your RF.exe file - it will most likely be correct without you needing to change it. If it's blank though, or incorrect, you must click "Browse", and locate your RF.exe file inside your Red Faction folder. For Steam installations, this is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Red Faction\RF.exe and for retail installations, it's usually C:\games\RedFaction\RF.exe
- If a prompt appears stating "Detected Red Faction version is not directly supported by Alpine Faction", click OK. The necessary patches will automatically be installed for you.
