Alec Mason

Alec Mason is the main character in Red Faction: Guerrilla, the third game in the Red Faction series.
Backstory
Alec Mason is a recent transplant from Earth who's trying to escape a troubled past. When Alec arrived on the red planet, he met up with his brother Dan, a miner, who had promised to hook him up with a mining gig. Dan Mason's warnings about EDF oppression prove prophetic when he is killed by an EDF gunship as Alec watched helplessly. Afterwards, the grieving Alec discovers an EDF patrol ransacking his trailer. Explosives are found-a legitimate tool of his trade. Mason is branded a Red Faction insurgent and ordered to be shot on sight.
Alec Mason is spared when a Red Faction squad attacks the soldiers. Enraged, Alec himself deals the death blow to the pitiless Earth Defense Force officer who condemmed him. The Red Faction Commander, a toughened veteran of the guerrilla war, grimly informs Alec that, like it or not, he's just joined the rebellion.
"Dan Said they'd take everything...From me, they already have."
Role
Alec Mason is a miner turned rebel against the EDF. Alec is seen wearing a green army jacket and cargo pants. He is a man of unknown background but has gotten into the war against the EDF because of his brother; Dan's murder and has become a part in the newly re-formed Red Faction. Alec is said to have "a much bigger role in Red Faction: Guerrilla than Parker had in Red Faction."
