kN.A.N.O. is a militant group responsible for the theft of the Nano-Cell from an unnamed source.
Their appearance is only in Red Faction II and are seen at the start of the game in the chapter Foreign Lands occupying a building that Alias and Shrike break into so as to retrieve the Cell for the Commonwealth.
Alongside some regular hired security, kN.A.N.O military units are seen sporting a Red beret style hat with a black brim, red shoulder and leg guards as well as waist protectors.
