Mastiff
The Mastiff is a vehicle in Red Faction: Armageddon. The Mastiff is also only an available vehicle during the Path To War DLC story mission Tip Of The Spear.
Description
The Mastiff provides a good range of speed and firepower to the user.
The Mastiff is un-naturally faster than your average normal Tank, and provides a good versatile drive speed along with good offensive weapons to boot. When taking on the Cultists, you want to make sure to use the side mounted machine guns at your disposal, quickly dispatching ground units in force, as well as simply driving over them of course. For larger enemies, such as enemy Tanks, SHIVAs or the Scout Walkers, consider blasting them with the standard mortar rocket.
The Tanks hull is also exceptionally durable, coming with good shielding which make it a force to be reckoned with. Keep in mind that once the shields are down, the tanks hull can be damaged beyond repair - so make sure to keep that in mind as you drive your way through heavy enemy fire. Alongside this, the vehicle also has the visualization mode (Default key: Z) for heat source targeting, which can be extremely useful during sections of intense firepower and explosions.
