Tharsis is an expansive territory on Mars. The events of Red Faction: Guerrilla take place there.
Tharsis was colonized some time between 2078 and 2128. The region is divided into six sectors, which, until 2128, were governed by the Earth Defense Force. It was eventually liberated by the second Red Faction.
