Alec Mason is the main character in Red Faction: Guerrilla, the third game in the Red Faction series.
Backstory
Alec Mason is a recent transplant from Earth who's trying to escape a troubled past. When Alec arrived on the red planet, he met up with his brother Dan, a miner, who had promised to hook him up with a mining gig. Alec then finds out that Dan is a member of the newly reformed Red Faction, a guerrilla group that's fighting against the oppressive rulers of Mars, the Earth Defense Force. After his brother is suddenly killed by the EDF, Alec is pulled into the Red Faction and joins in the fight against the EDF.
