Pure Faction

Pure Faction is a third party Red Faction anti-cheat, anti-hack, and anti-glitch patch coded entirely in ASM by TrotSkie. It also provides extra security for both servers and clients as well as fixing the infamous nVidia 8 Series bug.

Blocked Cheats

The latest Pure Faction release (Version 3) blocks most cheats available publicly for the game.

Specifics:

• Wallhacks: Pure Faction blocks all wallhacks.
• Colorbots: Pure Faction blocks all colorbots due to the color cycling rail scanner.
• Aimbots: There is only one aimbot known to work with Red Faction 1.2, and it is not public. Pure Faction blocks it regardless.
• Table Cheats: Pure Faction blocks all Table Cheats by making Red Faction load default game tables before any modified ones.
• Myth Trainer: Pure Faction blocks Myth Trainer by resisting the hook that the trainer must use. The trainer will not even pick up Pure Faction as Red Faction.
• Cheat Engine: Pure Faction blocks Cheat Engine exported executables by resisting the hook that they must use in the same way that it blocks Myth.
• Brightskins: Pure Faction blocks brightskins by always loading default game skins before any modified ones.

Blocked Glitches

• Baton Glitch: Pure Faction blocks the infamous baton glitch by not allowing people to switch weapons while firing.
• Reload Skip Glitch: Pure Faction blocks the Reload Skip Glitch by disallowing fast-switching.
• Green Team Glitch: Pure Faction blocks the Green Team Glitch by ignoring the "team'" console command.
