The Aesir is a vehicle in the original [[Red Faction]].


==Description==
Red Faction: Guerrilla is the third game in the Red Faction series developed by [[Volition Inc.]] and published by [[THQ Inc.]] Red Faction: Guerrilla has been in development for over 4 years as of September 2008.
The Aesir Fighter is an extremely agile and ridiculously fast aircraft that can be used in tight situations against all manner of foes. It offers both ULT-AR4 Steeleye Tandem Warhead heat seeking missiles as well as an ULT-8CG 30mm 8 barrel gattling gun. Skilled pilots will use both weapons as well as the vehicles inherent ability for maneuvering to demolish any adversary. The fighter is seen twice throughout the game and you will indeed face opponents in other fighters (but only while you yourself have the ability to fly as well), but they shouldn't prove to be much of a problem unless you let them charge you and get you turned around. Fend them off with missiles and strafing maneuvers and if they get to close unload the gattling gun on them until there isn't anything left but dust and debris.

Red Faction: Guerrilla is a 3rd person, open-world action shooter set on Mars, 50 years after the events of the original [[Red Faction]]. Players take the role of an insurgent fighter named [[Alec Mason]] with the newly re-established [[Red Faction(Rebellion)|Red Faction]] movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive [[Earth Defense Force]] (EDF - allies in the first [[Red Faction]]). Throughout their fight for freedom, players carve their own path, wreaking havoc across the vast, open-world environment of [[Mars]], from the desolate mining outpost of [[Parker(Settlement)|Parker]] to the gleaming EDF capital city of [[Eos(City)|Eos]] to the Earth-like region known as [[Oasis]].
 
Utilizing improvised weapons, explosives and re-purposed mining equipment and vehicles, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to tear through fully destructible environments in an unforgiving Martian landscape swarming with EDF forces, Red Faction resistance fighters, and the downtrodden settlers caught in the cross-fire. Red Faction: Guerrilla also features a robust multiplayer component, including several modes focused on destruction-based gameplay.

Plot

Red Faction: Guerrilla is a 3rd person, open-world action shooter set on Mars, 50 years after the events of the original Red Faction.
