Deathmatch (DM) and its team-based version Team Deathmatch (TDM) are popular multiplayer gametypes in many different games. Red Faction, Red Faction II, and Red Faction: Guerrilla have all contained both gametypes in some form.
Basic Rules
At it's most basic level, Deathmatch is about killing your opponent more times than they kill you. The only notable difference between Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch is the inclusion of teams. Players are normally split evenly into two teams on a normal Deathmatch map, and scores are kept for the team as a whole, rather than for each individual player. Suicide deaths do not normally impact a team's score in Team Deathmatch, even though they often impact a specific player's score in Deathmatch.
Red Faction Games
- All versions of Red Faction 1 shipped with both Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch included.
- All versions of Red Faction II shipped with both Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch included.
- All versions of Red Faction: Guerrilla shipped with both Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch included, however they are referred to as Anarchy and Team Anarchy respectively.
