Inside The Nano Base is the ninth and penultimate main chapter of the Red Faction II single player campaign following from A River Runs To It. Inside The Nano Base consists of 6 individual maps and begins with Tangier dropping Alias off inside the Nano base as she heads off into the submarine to find another way in, instructing Alias to find the Nano-Cell and Destroy the labs once and for all. It is followed by In Sopot's Deadly Embrace.

Having defeated Repta, Alias continues onward, finding a Battle Armour, and gets in. Tangier informs him they are looking for the coolant stations to destroy, which will in turn both destroy the base and the Sopot Statue it resides in. A little bit of hunting and battling the Processed later - Alias happens upon the first coolant, gets out the Battle Armour, high tails it up the stairs to the top of the room, plants a charge and then rushes back to the armoured mech suit before proceeding on his path of destruction.
