In Sopot's Deadly Embrace
In Sopot's Deadly Embrace is the tenth and final main chapter of the Red Faction II single player campaign following from Inside The Nano Base. In Sopot's Deadly Embrace consists of 3 individual maps and begins after Repta's defeat, as Alias and Tangier begin chasing Molov up the statue.
Inside The Statue

Alias enters the inclining statues chest area, as he finally reunites with Tangier, who is in hot pursuit of Molov, she informs Alias that Molov has the Nano-Cell and they have to keep going. The building begans to shake quite a lot as the explosions from the labs down below begin to take their toll on the buildings stability,sSo the pair hightail their way high up the statue, fighting the Processed and dodging Molov's Rail Driver as they do. Eventually we hear over the radio that Molov is apparently being shot at by Shrike who up until this point has been largely absent.
Toward The Flame

Alias, nearing the head of the statue at last, battles his way through one last long corridor filled with the advanced Processed unit. Meanwhile he hears over the radio that Tangier has Molov cornered, and that she has the Nano-Cell. Alias also learns that Shrike has seen the light and swapped sides to help Alias and Tangier at the last, and is circling the head in a gunship watching as Alias catches up to Tangier and Molov.
The Final Battle

Alias ascends the final staircase into Sopot Statue's head, finding a stare-off between Molov and Tangier - now firmly in possession of the Nano-Cell. As Alias walks into the room, Tangier says "Goodbye Alias", tosses a grenade towards Molov and leaps out of the Statues head, taking the Nano-Cell with her. Molov doesn't waste to much time on this and, after being blow backwards by the grenade, gets in his own Battle Armour and tells Alias - "She was always better at flirting than fighting." Before beginning the fight.
The fight itself has 2 phases;
- Phase 1: Molov uses the Battle armour to its fullest potential, launching everything it has at Alias, until Alias can eventually destroy the armour, forcing Molov out of it.
- Phase 2: After leaving the Battle Armour, Molov on his own wields the Rail Driver to battle Alias, who must dodge the laser at all costs.
After the battle comes to a close and Molov lays defeated in the head of Sopot Statue, Shrike swoops in and picks Alias up, and the 2 fly away from the Statue as it begins to erupt and crumble under the weight of all of the explosions from the Nano Labs and the fighting at the top.
At the end of this scene - the Heroic System calculates the ending for the games ending cinematic.
