Thermobaric Rocket Launcher
Details
Developed by a group of underground Red Faction researchers and engineers, the Thermobaric Rocket Launcher offers long-range destruction capability. The first stage of its dual-stage design uses compressed air to fire the rocket and disperse an explosive fuel cloud. The second stage detonates the rocket, simultaneously causing an explosion and igniting the fuel cloud.
Effectiveness
Although not as accurate as a military grade rocket launcher, the Thermobaric Rocket Launcher is effective at a significant range, and the explosive charge is effective against vehicles and structures as well as soft targets.
Usage
Pressing the fire button once launches the rocket. By pressing it again while the rocket is in flight, the rocket can be detonated in mid-air. This tactic is useful for obliterating large areas.
