This week I have chosen another more "quiet" person in the Levels4You community. A great friend and always willing to help.

1. What is about Red Faction that attracted you to the game?

The bright red box. I hired it from the video game shop for a week, found it had multi capability, then custom maps [of which red-stuff.com is where I downloaded my first customs], then as you have probably guessed I found that link to RED in the start menu.

2. What made you want to map/mod Red Faction?

I have studied a lot of multimedia - animation [2d/3d], video, HTML etc. But games never came into that. When I found the RED.exe it was like - where have you been? I have always been creative and have always loved computer games. I guess it was the combination of these things.

3. When did you start mapping/modding Red Faction?

Christmas 2002. On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a RED editor exe.

4. Have you ever mapped for any other games?

Yeah. Remember that game Stunts? An old dos thing that you could make car 'trick' tracks in. Also made some dodgy Starcraft maps.

5. Do you plan on mapping for any other games?

Probably when I move out of the prehistoric age with my computer hardware. I feel like I am at the end of the road in RED and need to get into some more complex game creation. I would love to look at Max Payne and Unreal.

6. Who do you most admire in the Red Faction community?

Not so much a person, but more a quality of person. I guess NCF is the perfect example. Someone who; repeatedly gives for very little in return. I admire that.

7. If you could change one thing about Red Faction, what would it be?

I guess I would make it RFIII with multi vehicle support of course.

8. If you could ask one question about Red Faction and get it answered by THQ/Volition, what would it be?

How do you create new HUDS for vehicles? C'mon I emailed you guys - your webmaster cracked me up with his reply, but no reply from the people who could have helped.

9. What made you start up your website?

The devil made me do it ... nah, it was originally intended for what it is used for now - a reference for people. I guess in the beginning it was for mates/e-friends to use, but now I enjoy serving the site to people from all over the world. I do enjoy helping people out. It makes me feel good

10. For people out there, can you give some stats on your site, info on hosting, etc?

The US military use the site regularly. I got a great server to use now. Thanks Aussie Green.

11. During 2004 are there any games you plan on buying?

I have been looking for a nice chess set. I plan on playing Risk a few times as well. I got it one birthday, we played flat out for weeks, but since then the box is just gathering dust.

12. Can you tell us a little about your up coming Trigger Mod?

I decided to change the name. Trigger mod was too self indulgent for my liking. I come up with; No Shelter. With the catch phrase; there be no shelter here the front line is everywhere. A line from a RATM song.

The mod has progressed so much from its conception. The Single Play aspect is the big draw card. I have spent weeks on end perfecting some cut scenes and effects and the maps look more incredible than I had ever imagined they could be.

I have also been a long-standing member of the Iron Sun mod [www.ironsunmod.tk] and it is also due for an update release in the coming weeks/months.

13. Lately you haven’t been around Levels4You a lot, what happened? Where did you go?

Some people just plain piss me off. Plus I got my own site forums to monitor now - so that takes up extra time. Check em out we got arcade games and a shop where you can buy things like Ban Members, change member titles and or you can hire goons to do your dirty work for you!

14. Tell us something that no one else knows.

My cats name is Aberdeen. My dogs name is Sherman. [well you may already know that - I did post a pic of Sherm sometime ago in the 'pics of your pets' forum - Christ I could have been DBII back then.]

DBII? Yeah my first RF name was DeathBringerII. It was interesting going back to anonymity for a while, until someone let the cat out of the bag.

15. Anything else I’ve missed?

Your credit card. I accept American Express, Mastercard or Visa.

Thanks for your time, mate.
