Pure Faction is a third party Red Faction anti-cheat, anti-hack, and anti-glitch patch coded entirely in ASM by TrotSkie. It also provides extra security for both servers and clients as well as fixing the infamous nVidia 8 Series bug.
The latest Pure Faction release (Version 3) blocks most cheats available publicly for the game.
Specifics:
- Wallhacks: Pure Faction helps prevent wallhacks.
- Colorbots: Pure Faction helps prevent colorbots due to the color cycling rail scanner.
- Aimbots: There are only two aimbots known to work with Red Faction 1.2, and neither are public. Regardless, Pure Faction blocks both.
- Table Cheats: Pure Faction blocks table cheats.
- MYTH Trainer: Pure Faction blocks Myth and any other infinte ammo trainers. The server now keeps track of how much ammo each player has and will not let him fire when empty.
- Brightskins: Pure Faction blocks brightskins.
