Mars in Real Life
Mars is the planet upon which the events Red Faction and Red Faction: Guerrilla take place. Mars has a reddish brown colour on the surface. The planet's polar icecaps are the reason behind the belief of water on Mars. However, it is speculated that water cannot exist on the surface due to lack of atmospheric pressure. Many scientists believe it is possible to terraform Mars. The atmosphere of the planet is made of 95% CO2.
Terraforming Mars
Some belive this is possible by sending water there to cool it down, then sending algae to create some O2. After that we would send people with air tanks and plants to Mars to be planted to make enough oxygen to make mars habitable.
Link to the Red Faction series
Red Faction: Guerrilla takes place on Mars after it is terraformed and made habitable. There are also the Marauders, a mysterious tribe which resides on the red planet.
