'''Inside The Nano Base''' is the ninth and penultimate main chapter of the [[Red Faction II]] single player campaign following from [[A River Runs To It]]. Inside The Nano Base consists of 6 individual maps and begins with [[Tangier]] dropping [[Alias]] off inside the Nano base as she heads off into the [[submarine]] to find another way in, instructing Alias to find the [[Nano-Cell]] and Destroy the labs once and for all. It is followed by [[In Sopot's Deadly Embrace]].

==Industrial Processing==

As [[Alias]] enters the facility, he is immediately spotted by [[Repta]] who taunts him as he searches for a way further into the base. He heads all the way along the bottom floor, fighting more advanced members of the [[Processed]] than previously, to a ladder where he climbs up, and heads back around, all the meanwhile Repta is attacking him with his [[Anti-Personnel Weapon]]. Eventually Alias finds a way onwards and chases Repta for a showdown.

[[Alias]] emerges into a large cylindrical room with stairs and ramps covering the walkable paths. [[Repta]] tells Alias "Playtime's over" as he continues to pepper Alias from the [[Anti-Personnel Weapon]]. The two duke it out and eventually after Alias wearing him down, Repta slips on a lose part of the girders and falls, seemingly, to his death, leaving behind his weapon for Alias to take.

==Having A Blast==

Having defeated [[Repta]], [[Alias]] continues onward, finding a [[Battle Armour]], and gets in. [[Tangier]] informs him they are looking for the coolant stations to destroy, which will in turn both destroy the base and the [[Sopot]] Statue it resides in. A little bit of hunting and battling the [[Processed]] later - Alias happens upon the first coolant, gets out the Battle Armour, high tails it up the stairs to the top of the room, plants a charge and then rushes back to the armoured mech suit before proceeding on his path of destruction.

==No Place Like Home==

As [[Alias]] continues hunting down coolants, [[Tangier]] is constantly in communication, she isn't having much luck, saying the places must be closer to him. Alias happens to come across the second coolant room, and repeats the process from before, exiting the armour, running to the coolant, placing a charge, and running back to his mech suit. As Alias walks away, leaving the trail of destruction behind him, he comes to another room, the processing room, where for the first time since the [[Red Faction (Group)|Red Faction]] HQ, [[Molov]] finally speaks to Alias, telling him this was where he was born, this is where he will die. Alias blasts the final coolant station situated in the room, with the [[Battle Armour]] instead of getting out, then makes his way out and onwards to an elevator near by which takes him higher up the Statue.

==The Nano Elite==

As the Nano-Base has been thoroughly damaged beyond repair, [[Alias]] turns his attention to [[Molov]], as he ascends the statue, he is closing the distance between himself and his enemy. As he progresses through a doorway, Molov unveils the Nano Elite [[Processed]] unit, the most advanced the Processed have ever been, taunting Alias that they make him obsolete. Alias fights his way onward, battling both the Nano Elite and [[Battle Armour]]s as he searches for a further ascension up the statue.

[[Alias]] emerges from a doorway to a shocking surprise. [[Repta]] is alive, and now is seemingly electromagnetically enhanced - being able to move things with his electronic power, and also wielding his tried and true [[Heavy Machine Gun (RF2)|HMG]]. Alias battles him from within the [[Battle Armour]], meanwhile being peppered by shock grenades from the Nano Elite above. Eventually Repta weakens enough to run away through a large ventilation shaft, forcing Alias out of the armour to carry on the chase. As he catches up to his foe, Repta begins launching himself around the large room they found themselves in, dodging and leaping, meanwhile shooting Alias whenever he can. Alias eventually manages to put a definitive bullet in Repta, causing him to scream manically and explode, knocking down a  part of the room as he does so, which allows Alias to cross to the other side, and carry on the hunt for [[Molov]].
