    Audio Logs

    Audio Logs are collectable items in Red Faction: Armageddon that provide lore surrounding current and past events of the game's story. Logs can be identified by their light blue beam above the object.

    Nano Forge

    Throughout the game, the Nano Forge is a resourceful tool that allows Darius to both wreck havoc on the battlefield, and also repair the damage to structures throughout the single player campaign

    Infestation

    During Infestation - you play as characters that are not Darius, therefore do not have access to the full set of Nano Forge abilities, instead, they have the repair grenade that Darius gets halfway through the single player story, and they can equip one ability only as their chosen ability during playthroughs of the game mode

    Repair.jpg Repair The only Nano Forge ability not designed by Darius, the Repair functionality was originally developed by Jake, Darius's father. This ability allows you to restore damage to man-made items and repair structures to their original form.
    Shockwave.jpg Shockwave Originally developed to handle pests in the underground tunnels, Shockwave takes any being near Darius, suspends them in mid air, and stuns them. When fully upgraded, Shockwave not only hurts all enemies in its area of effect, but it also passes some of that stolen health to Darius, healing him.
    Impact.jpg Impact The Impact ability was originally developed by Darius to help him clear an area quickly in excavations. It is exceptionally useful in close combat. While it doesn't cause enormous damage by itself, the velocity it imparts to anything in front of him usually causes it to be splattered against a nearby wall. When fully upgrades, Impact covers a much wider area and accelerates its victims even faster and further.
    Shell.jpg Shell When activated, Shell projects a forcefield globe around Darius's current location. This field stops all fast-moving projectiles. Allies can still enter the field, but the shell damages enemies that step within its protective bubble. When upgraded, Shell also rebounds the projectiles so they seek out the enemies who fired them. Shell was developed originally to protect Darius from collapses in the more unstable tunnel systems.
    Berserk.jpg Berserk The only Nano Forge ability designed solely around combat. It charges Darius's weapons, greatly increasing their output for a short period of time. Every kill increases the Berserk timer, letting Darius more than double the duration in thick combat. When upgrades, Berserk also projects energy explosions around Darius on a regular basis, hurting all enemies near him.

    Like Red Faction: Guerrilla, throughout the single player campaign, you can pick up salvage which enables you to purchase upgrades and cheats.

    Upgrades

    Upgrade Station

    Upgrades can be obtained at the Upgrade Station, these stations can appear in several locations throughout the single player campaign, some may be broken and have a blue repair square on their location, letting you know that can repair them.

    The upgrade system works in tiers, there are 4 tiers, each tier providing more powerful upgrades than the last, some of which are continuations from previous tiers, which allow you to empower previous upgrades even further.

    Tier 1

    Enemy Health Indicators 1,000 Enables the HUD to display enemy health bars above the crosshair whenever you aim at enemies.
    Evasive 1,000 Decreases enemy accuracy by 50% whilst dodging, as well as decreasing their damage by 30% should they land a shot whilst dodging.
    Fast Hands 1,000 Reduces reload times by 25% and increases weapon equip speed by 33%.
    Health Increase 1 1,000 Increases maximum health by 100.
    Recoil Reduction 1,000 Reduces weapon recoil by 25%, reduces weapon spread by 25%, and increases weapon spread recovery by 25%
    Shockwave 1,000 Unlocks the Shockwave ability on the Nano Forge.

    Tier 2

    Impact Boost 1,000 Increases the range of Impact by 40% and increases the damage, as well as allowing the Nano forge to recharge 20% faster. Impact
    Improved Explosives 1,000 Increases heavy weapons damage by 15%. N/A
    Improved Small Arms 1 1,000 Increases small arms damage by 20%. N/A
    Last Gasp 1,000 When you are below 30% health, the damage you receive is reduced by 40%.
    Melee Training 1,000 Increases Maul damage by 100%, allowing that and other melee attacks to apply twice as much force. All other forms of melee damage are increased by 60% to humans and 100% to everything else. N/A
    Repair Grenade N/A Can be fired at long distances to repair structures, like the repair function on the Nano Forge. (Note; this is the only unpurchaseable upgrade which you obtain through the course of the single player story.) N/A
    Shell 1,000 Unlocks the Shell ability on the Nano Forge. N/A
    Shockwave Boost 1,000 Increases range of shockwave by 25% and damage by 50%, as well as allowing it to affect more aliens, last 20% longer, gain more force and allows the Nano Forge to recharge 40% faster after usage. Shockwave

    Weapon Stations

    Weapon Station

    During the campaign, the player will come across Weapon stations. These stations can appear in several locations throughout the single player campaign, some may be broken and have a blue repair square on their location, letting you know that can repair them.

    Players can swap weapons here, but only with weapons that have been unlocked by coming across them whilst playing the game. The player may only have 4 weapons at any one time, however unlike Red Faction: Guerrilla the player can also swap the melee weapon to a different ranged weapon.
