Vasha orders an all-out assault on the EDF headquarters, although Samanya is determined to free prisoners that would otherwise be killed in the assault, much to Vasha's dismay. Samanya rescues colonists, Dan Mason and Hugo Davies from the prison camps and headquarters. Samanya has a falling out with Vasha and begins her new life as a member of the Red Faction.

Vasha has gone too far. I can't go on like this. I've convinced my sister to let me free the prisoners before launching the attack. She feels betrayed... But I won't allow innocent people to be slain. No matter what the cost.
