Hale sends his right hand man Mallus to take down the Terraformer defenses whilst piloting an Inferno GX, where Red Faction and Marauder troops are actively defending the area. It takes place approximately 10 hours before the Terraformer failure.

Stay low, take them by surprise.
Outpost reached

Approaching the Red Faction outpost.

There is an underground passage at the back of the outpost. Find it.
Within the surface canyon

Stay below the canyon walls. The patrols will have a harder time targeting you.

Beware the turrets. The ship won't survive a barrage of direct hits.
Distress transmission reached

Intercepting a distress call from the Terraformer...

They know you're coming. Get to the comm towers and destroy them. The transmission must be silenced.
After all transmission towers destroyed

All towers eliminated. Distress call silenced.

Now target the blast door generator.

It should be in the center of the complex.
As you slowly approach the defense core

Eliminate any resistance you find. It will make your exit easier.
Once the core is damaged, you'll have a small window of time before the reactor explodes.

As you escape the meltdown
