A disconnect is when the server experiences CPU lag, runs out of bandwidth, falls offline, client's internet connection dies, cruicial packets are dropped, or other anomalies occur that cause a loss of connection from client <-> server.  The disconnect is noted by two red computers with a blinking X on the left hand side of the game screen.
